One of my sister's Birthday presents was...
I read it first.
I can’t wait to try it all and have a mad macaroon feast. This may just be the first thing I make out of the kitchen I have been expecting since June.
Obviously my sister loves macaroon and Obviously she’ll be my victim when I try the various types of macaroon recipe from this book.
Hopefully she will still love macaroons afterwards.

My New Toy : Holga 120 GCFN
I bought it a couple of weekends ago. I just finished my first roll and loaded it with a fresh second roll.
I can’t wait to see the result of my first roll, I know I have the first frame blank, because I didn’t know the lines were actually number 1. Actually I am still worried that the whole roll is blank, not because I keep forgetting to uncover the lens, but because I am not used...

There'll be days like this. Actually, there has...
frailbeauty:
And there will come a day when I’m sad And there’s no one there to comfort me Because I’ve managed to push them all away And there will come a day when I’m crying And there’s no one there to hold me Because I never gave them a reason to stay And there will come a day when I’m screaming And there’s no one there to save me Because I’ve managed to kill them once before And there will...

Beautiful libraries, part 2 (*weep*)
zoenicola:
So, here’s round 2 of what promises to be a long and exhausting flirtation with the gorgeous libraries of the world.
Bad Schussenried Bibliotheksaal, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
Klementinum Library, Prague, Czech Republic
Pierpoint Morgan Library, New York, NY, USA
Wiblingen Monastery Library, Ulm, Germany
Wren Library, Trinity College, Cambridge, UK
Part 3 will follow,...

Beautiful libraries, part 1
My ever all consuming library fetish has led to my amassing a rather large archive of pictures of mind-blowing bibliotheques all over the world that I’m aching to visit. I thought perhaps I should share this list with my wonderful followers, so that you can not only see...

"Black Swan" premiers at Venice Film Festival
I am not sure why for some reason I thought “Black Swan” was going to premier in December 2010, rather it premiered on 1 September 2010 at the Venice Film Festival.
Loving Portman’s stunning red “Rodarte” gown but not so much love for the Dior clutch.
The countdown begins. May it reach Singapore as soon as A.S.A.P.

"In the blue of your eyes I feel small...
… I feel big enough to touch a myth
Your skin baptised me
and I’ve been trying to find my way back to that river,
I don’t know any other place to go and pray inside of”

"Because every breath I give brings me a second...
…Because every word I carry is another stone to put into place in the foundation that I’m building, Because the days can erase something that I never saw, What all of us wanted and what none of us got, What we all had and have and what we all forgot. That we all wanted to be something, That we all became something. And it might not be the shit we once thought we’d be when we were...

"We once went to bed like between the bed sheets...
and brontosauruses, but even they were opened up with the smoke that rose out of the homes and the corners that we once climbed through, the streets and the footballs which we once threw, the school desks upon which we once drew, the windows that sat open through which we once flew, before the outside world of parking spaces and dead friends came flooding on in and we forgot what we wanted, and we...

"Come closer, come into this, come closer....

You are quite the beauty. If no one has ever told you that before know that right now, you are quite the beauty. There is joy in how your mouth dances with your teeth. your smile is a sign of how sacred your life truly is. Come into this. Come close.

Saturday night Under the Banyan Tree with the...
As previously planned, I spent last Saturday night watching ‘Rebel Without A Cause’ at Stamford Park outside the National Museum of Singapore. It was my first time watching a vintage movie and my first time watching a movie in open air setting.
I have to admit the open air setting was the main reason as to why I even wanted to watch a movie from before my mother was born, but it turned...

Child of All Nations
I finished this 3 weeks ago actually, and I haven’t picked up another book since. Been occupied with other priorities and just doesn’t have the chance to start with the third book of the Quartet “Jejak Langkah” [“Footsteps”].
I find “Anak Semua Bangsa” to be even more a critical of a book. “Bumi Manusia” focused more on criticizing the Javanese Feudal culture, as for “Anak Semua Bangsa”, it...

Udders : Udder-ly Mediocre :/
Went there in June and had Hazel’s Nuts which tasted more like dark choc ice cream. It tasted alright but when I ordered Hazel’s Nuts, I was expecting some hazelnut crisps which wasn’t there. The other flavour I tried was ‘Snickers-Mars-Honeycomb-Vanilla’. Wasn’t wow’ed but was enough to make us want to go back to try their other original flavours.
Two weeks ago my sister and I went there again...
